The Faculty of Business Administration, Hosei University, invites applications for two 
full-time positions in English language teaching.
 
·  Position: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
·  Subject: English (general education)
·  Number of position: Two
·  Qualifications: Applicants need to have one of the following qualifications:
1.      PhD
2.      Minimum 2 years of experience as a research associate (joshu) after 
completing an MA 
3.      Minimum 4 years of research experience after completing an MA 
4.      Qualifications equivalent to the above
*Non-native speakers of Japanese are required to have proficiency in Japanese 
sufficient to conduct administrative duties.
 
·  Notes: Successful candidates will be affiliated with the Faculty of Business 
Administration, while teaching students in other faculties across the Ichigaya campus
 (e.g. Law, Letters, Intercultural Communication). The responsibilities include
 designing and administering English curricula across these faculties.
·  Starting date: April 1, 2010
·  Application deadline: Application documents need to be received by midday July 31, 
2009.

2.      Three major publications. Translations need to be accompanied by the 
originals. Attach a short English abstract (approximately 1200 words) when 
submitting a PhD thesis.
3.      Summary of research experience and interests, and plans for future research
(approximately 1200 words in English)
4.      Observations on the current situation of English language education and a 
statement of teaching philosophy with regard to teaching at Hosei University 
(approximately 1200 characters in Japanese)
5) A letter of recommendation and the contact details of an additional referee
