RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/FELLOW IN THE PSYCHOLOGY OF SECOND LANGUAGE ACQUISITION

 

 

The English Language Institute at the University of Michigan is inviting applications for an NSF-funded research position to work with Dr. Nick Ellis on a project concerning attention and second language acquisition. The position is for one year with a starting date of September 1, 2009. The position may be filled at Research Technician Associate or Postdoctoral Fellow levels.

 

Applicants should be well-versed in psychological research and SLA, experimental design and analysis, data manipulation in Excel, statistical analysis packages, experimental programming in E Prime or Psyscope, and report writing. Ideal candidates should have expertise in psycholinguistics, cognition, and attention.
