The Second International Language Conference (ILC2011) will provide the avenue for critical discourse on developing soft-skills in language learners. The development of soft skills in language learners is of current concern of many quarters. The importance of the development of soft skills in the learners, especially graduates from institutions of higher learning, has often been voiced by both the private and the public sectors including the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of  Education, institutions of higher learning.  

The discussion will revolve around the development of  soft skills, and the future challenges in the teaching and learning process. More importantly, the conference will provide a platform to address the issues in the development of soft skills. Moreover, it will provide possible avenues for collaborative work among practitioners and the industry. Conferences such as this can  provide the input needed to further improve the current practice. 

 

 

Presentations

1. Parallel session (30 minutes)

Presentations describe and discuss topics based on ongoing or completed research or theoretical observations.

2. Workshop (60 minutes)

Skill-based & hands-on sessions featuring application of ideas

 

Proceedings

A collection of full papers will be made available on CD-ROM.
