"Strengthening Ties between Research and Foreign Language Classroom Practices"

 

2nd International Conference on Foreign Language Learning and Teaching

 

11-12 March 2011

 

Under the auspices of the Language Institute of Thammasat University

 

The FLLT Conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and educators with interests in language learning and teaching at all levels from around the world. This biennial conference was first held in October 2009 in Bangkok on the theme "Promoting Collaboration in Research between SLA Theory and Foreign Language Learning". The theme of the FLLT 2011 conference, "Strengthening Ties between Research and Foreign Language Classroom Practices" is designed to attract the research communities to promote connections between theory and practice and explore different perspectives on the application of research findings into practice.

Call for Papers

 This conference invites papers that investigate foreign language teaching and learning in the following streams:

 

Language acquisition and learning
Language education
Linguistics 
Applied linguistics
Language teacher education
TESOL / TESL / TEFL
Language curriculum development
Language teaching methodology
Language testing and assessment
Language program evaluation
English for specific purposes
Independent / Autonomous Learning
Innovation in language teaching and learning
 

Note: Proposals on other streams may also be considered.

 

In particular, preference will be given to papers that investigate connections between research, theory, and practice.

 

We are inviting proposals for an individual paper of a 30-minute presentation and also a proposal for a poster presentation. Each presenter can only participate in one, be it a 30-minute or a poster presentation.

 

Deadline for abstract submission:       31 August 2010

Confirmation of Acceptance:             30 September 2010
