Description:

Job description: The Center for Research on Bilingualism at Stockholm

internationalization and globalization, historically and in contemporary
time, on the political and societal organization of multilingualism in
multilingual societies, and the way in which it is studied
sociolinguistically. The appointee will be expected to initiate and conduct
research in the area of transnational multilingualism; provide leadership
in promoting research and grant-seeking; actively procure external research
funding and contribute to cross-faculty programs; conduct lectures and
seminars on transnational multilingualism and bilingualism at undergraduate
and postgraduate levels, including Ph.D. course work, and engage in the
supervision of research students at either the Centre for Research on
Bilingualism or any other department in the Arts Faculty at Stockholm
University. A 70% research component in the position is guaranteed for the
first four years. Thereafter the proportion of research will be subject to
current (institutional) agreements.

Eligibility: Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellence in
scholarship, teaching and supervision.

Appointment criteria: More weight will be given to scholarship and research
background than to excellence in teaching. Appointees should have an
international reputation in scholarship and research on transnational
multilingualism in a variety of geographical and societal contexts. The
ability of the appointee to contribute to academic and departmental
administration, to foster academic partnerships and promote service
