TENURE-TRACK POSITION IN LINGUISTICS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS

 

The Department of Language and Linguistics, Faculty of English Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens plans to announce a tenure track position in Linguistics, with special emphasis on empirical methods of analysis. There is interest in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  a.. corpus linguistics
  b.. computational linguistics
  c.. phonetics
  d.. language acquisition/learning
 

Requirements

Candidates must hold a PhD in Linguistics or Applied linguistics and should demonstrate expertise in one of the aforementioned areas through quality publications. They must have excellent command of English and good command of Greek, as well as teaching experience at tertiary level. They will be required to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses -two per semester. The ideal candidate should be able to teach a wide range of (Applied) Linguistics courses in English and, depending on their area of expertise, to contribute to the research profile of the Department.
