NUGSE, located in Astana, Kazakhstan, receives technical support from Cambridge and the University of Pennsylvania.  It is starting a new Master's in Multilingual Education in Fall 2014. The government is rolling out a new trilingual language policy as well, which means ample opportunities for educational linguistics and language policy research. Nazarbayev University is seeking highly-qualified international faculty to join its newly established Graduate School of Education. Launched in Fall 2012, with its first intake of students in August 2013, the Graduate School of Education offers graduate programmes at both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels.  Due to expansion, the Graduate School of Education will be hiring a number of faculty members between now and June 2014. Newly hired faculty will have the opportunity to play key roles in the development of programmes dedicated to providing outstanding educational and professional opportunities to education leaders in Kazakhstan and throughout Central Asia.

Nazarbayev University has partnered with some of the most recognised names in international higher education, working together to establish a unique English-language western-style educational experience. The Graduate School of Education's international partners are Cambridge University and the University of Pennsylvania. The partners work with the faculty to ensure there are high academic standards and rigorous admissions and graduation procedures.   

The Nazarbayev University campus is located in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, in the heart of the new and ultra-modern Left-Bank region of the city. All applicants for faculty positions at Assistant, Associate and Full Professor ranks in the Graduate School of Education must have a doctoral degree in an education-related field. Excellence in both research and teaching are essential. International publications are required. Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education seeks strong candidates to complement our current and future research efforts who can work well in a team environment.

Position responsibilities for faculty members include: a teaching load of two courses (on average) per term, supervising students, developing curricula and programmes, serving on committees, conducting relevant research, contributing to leadership and capacity-building at national level, and other activities related to the intellectual and social environment of the university.
