The new book is, as far as I know, the only book to look at Singapore's educational system across all four official languages. It emphasises empirical classroom research with chapters in four sections: Transitions, Competencies, Practices, and Reforms. The volume includes individual articles on specific aspects of language education in Singapore with a commentary for each section by internationally known scholars who help to position the work in a broader context.
