Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £53,650 - £58,337 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities:

Applications are invited for three Senior Lectureships in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. The successful candidates will be expected to make a major contribution to the Master’s programmes in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (including MA in TESOL Pre-Service), especially in second language acquisition, language testing, or discourse analysis, the supervision of PhDs, research activities and administrative responsibilities of the Centre, the Department, the Institute and the College generally.



The successful candidate will be expected to take up position on 01 September 2016, or as soon as possible thereafter.



Key Requirements:

The postholder will have a PhD in Applied Linguistics, TESOL or a relevant subject, substantial experience in teaching and supervision of postgraduate students, and a track record in securing research funding, managing research projects and producing research publications of international significance.

You will have significant expertise and teaching and research experience in one or more specialist areas of Applied Linguistics and/or TESOL. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in Second Language Acquisition, Language Testing, Applied Corpus Linguistics, Discourse Analysis (including classroom discourse), Intercultural Communication, Sociolinguistics and Socio-Cultural theory and Bi/Multilingualism.
