Dear Edling Community,

I am currently seeking participation in a *survey* study for my
dissertation, and I hope that you might consider forwarding my call for
participants on to any friends or colleagues who might qualify. The scope
of my study has the potential to help out both ESL students and
content-area higher education faculty who have these students in their
classes.

My study is aimed at identifying the educational development needs of
higher education faculty who currently work with or have worked with
students who have recently completed English language courses (ESOL, ESL,
EFL, etc.). The ultimate higher education faculty participants in this
study will not have a degree or specialization in working with ELLs (e.g.,
a background in linguistics, TESOL, ESL pedagogy, etc.), but who are
content-area faculty. The survey is titled: *Professional Development in
Higher Education: Working with English Language Learners.*

If you might know of a colleague who meets the conditions above, I hope
that you will consider passing along the invitation to participate, *they
will be asked to take an electronic survey that should take roughly 25-30
minutes to complete*.

Interested participants can click on the following link or copy it to a web
browser: https://goo.gl/fWT5sZ

The survey will be available until *September 24th, 2017 at 11:59pm ET*.

Although I am looking for faculty who are not specifically linguists or
specialists in ESL/ESOL, I hope that you might consider passing the request
along.

Apologies in advance for any cross-postings.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!

Respectfully,

Kevin Martin
