MPhil/PhD Studentship in education policy at the Education University of Hong Kong 2018 Spring

The Department of Education Policy and Leadership, the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is able to support applications for one University Grants Council 3-year MPhil/PhD studentship to commence in January 2018. The student will receive HKD 15,000 per month and HKD 16,200 after the upgrade as a stipend.



The EdUHK ranked the 13th in the world in Education (QS World University Rankings 2017).  The award is open to all who can satisfy Hong Kong residency requirements. The studentship will be given to a student who is accepted to the PhD programme. To be accepted to the programme, you need to apply for a place on the PhD in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership at the Education University of Hong Kong via the University's Online application system<https://banner.ied.edu.hk/BannerAdmission/index.jsp?wappcat=IED>.  ALL applicants are required to complete a research proposal for up to 3 pages and should include:

1. Aims and objectives of the project;
2. Significance and/or impact of the proposed study;
3. Brief theoretical, empirical and/or conceptual basis, and background evidence, for the proposed research;
4. Research design and methods.
The areas of research include:

  *   English language education policy
  *   Medium of instruction policy
  *   Education privatization
