[Edling] Edling Digest, Vol 11, Issue 73

But the simple label of "English Teacher" doesn't convey
the idea that the professional is working with learners
who have a primary language other than English.

This might confuse the official role in the school with that of an
English teacher for first language learners.

This collapsing of the label might also also suggest that there
is really nothing different about working with learners who are developing
a second or additional language.
