In celebrating March 21, UNESCO World Day or Poetry, may the Edling
community enjoy the poem, *Healing Words!*

Healing Words--Poem
-----------------------------
Healing words,
Words not out of the woods
of ignorance, arrogance,
Intolerance, dominance.
Healing words,
Words from the worlds
Of wisdom, freedom
Intercom, blossom.
Healing words,
Like sparkling water,
Hard to stem from
The fount of fathoms
In the jungles of racism
And corporatism,
Impossible to spring from
The dominant rivers.
No handsome symptoms!
Merely lions roaring idioms!
“WAR! WAR! WAR! WAAAAR!”
What!
How ridiculous as idioms these sound in the 21st century!
What civilization is the most barbaric in human existence?
Any civilization in support of any form of war
Second, any anti-intercultural attitude and governance!
These barbaric idioms feed from one another!
How is humanity thirsty
For healing words!
Not merely to extinguish the fire from the dragons
But to reconnect, reconstruct the trust
We must have in stock
To interact for the common better future task!

Healing words,
Words keeping and leading
Human existence to dignity,
To morality, responsibility,
Prosperity, beauty, security.

Humanity speaking, drawing, singing,
Writing, painting, dancing, translanguaging,
In words of diversity,
Sustains healing words
To heal the world!

Oh hearts, minds, institutions under the sky!
Come appreciate,
And celebrate these words today!
Use them to decorate your inside rooms!
May these beautiful rocks
In pathways and at seacoasts
Rekindle your integrity, solidarity, interculturality,
Community, human dignity, and unity in diversity!
Let them shine for ourselves and for the rest of humanity!

The world would be a better place if we all strive for existential unity:
communities' prosperity, social justice, peace, faith, global solidarity
and diversity, human rights, and human dignity for all. -David Balosa
