[Edling] Language policy journal: Book review call

Dear colleagues,

Language policy journal is accepting proposals for another open book review
call. Please see below available titles.

   1. Raza, K., Coombe, C., & Reynolds, D. (2021). Policy Development in
   TESOL and Multilingualism: Past, Present, and the Way Forward. Springer.*

   2. Abhimanyu Sharma (2022) Reconceptualising Power in Language Policy:

   Ideologies and England’s Schools. Palgrave. *Editor: Sarah*

   Practices in Higher Education: International Perspectives. Bloomsbury.*
   Editor: Sarah*
   5. Williams, C. H. (2023). Language Policy and the New Speaker
   Challenge: Hiding in Plain Sight. Cambridge University Press.* Editor:

   6. Siv Björklund, Mikaela Björklund (Eds.). (2023). Policy and Practice
   for Multilingual Educational Settings: Comparisons across Contexts.

If you are interested in reviewing a book, follow the instructions:

   - Include BR and book author(s) in the subject of the email, for
   instance: BR_Raza et al.
   - Write 2-3 sentences about why you are interested in reviewing the
   chosen title.
   - Attach a brief cv or resume.
   - Indicate whether you prefer to receive a complimentary hard or e-copy
   of the book. Sometimes, publishers offer both or either option.
   - Check who is the editor (Alsu or Sarah - sckmoore at umd.edu) and email
   your request to the editor in charge of the review process for the given
   title (see in bold the list above).

The authors are typically given 3 months to do the review from the moment
they receive the book copy. Each review is about 1000 words long.

PS. For the purpose of equitable distribution of book reviews and
reviewers, the journal policy is not to accept unsolicited submissions.
However, we welcome your proposals about potential books to be included in
the future calls.
