Over the past several years, the use of information
and communication technologies (ICT) has become
increasingly widespread in second language learning
and teaching contexts. This special issue will be
devoted to research which focuses on how
these technologies are implicated in and enhance the
development of language and literacy skills in second
language learners. Of particular interest are studies that
focus on instructional aspects involving project- and
task-based activities, the use of tools such as WebCt or
discussion forums to create learning communities, and
issues related to culture and identity.
