<p>The University at Albany, State University of New York, is seeking an Assistant Professor with expertise in educational diversity for the school's Department of Educational Theory and Practice. </p>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>

<p>*Earn doctoral degree by August 2007;<br />
*possess knowledge of current research and theory;<br />
*have backgrounds in anthropology, sociolinguistics, sociology, history, social studies, multicultural/intercultural education, global education, or other related areas; and<br />
*demonstrate high scholarly potential, evidence of presentations/publications, and the promise of national/international recognition as well as a demonstrated ability to work with and instruct diverse groups of people.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong> </p>

<p>*Maintain a program of research and publication;<br />
*teach and advise masters and doctoral students; and<br />
*participate in the professional community at department, school, university, and national levels. </p>
