<font color="#000080">The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at
the University of North Florida invites applications for a tenure track
position in anthropology at the Assistant Professor level (position
#335340), beginning August 2008. Applicants from all sub-fields will
be considered. Preference will be given to candidates whose research
agenda is empirically informed and focuses on issues such as (but not
limited to): environment and ecology; race and ethnicity; migration and
diaspora. Geographical area of expertise is open, but should
complement department strengths. Evidence of scholarly productivity and
successful teaching experience preferred. Desirable candidates will be
able to teach one or more of the program’s general education, cultural
diversity, and/or foreign culture courses. The position requires an
earned doctorate in Anthropology by August 2008.<br>

The University of North Florida is a growing regional comprehensive
university on the Atlantic coast with over 16,000 students. More
