<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Alliance</st1:place></st1:City> for the Advancement of Heritage Languages is collecting data about heritage language programs through the Heritage Language Program Database. This searchable online collection includes information about program type (e.g., community-based, school-based, higher education, and organization supporting heritage language programs), program funding sources, and challenges faced by programs. To support heritage language programs, the <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Alliance</st1:place></st1:City> has examined the sources of funding that are currently available to community-based programs and has developed the Heritage Program Funding Guide to guide similar programs in seeking funding.</P>
