<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The Assembly Government has unveiled a strategy to ensure that councils provide the Welsh-medium education that parents demand and said it would introduce legislation to compel them to do so if they failed to act.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Education minister Leighton Andrews unveiled the strategy with the promise of an extra Ł1.7m in 2010-11.</P>
