<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">When the last Alaska Native who could speak the Eyak language fluently died in 2008, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Fairbanks</st1:City></st1:place> linguist Michael Krauss became the only person who could still hold a conversation in it. </P>
