<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The Second International Language Conference (ILC2011) will provide the avenue for critical discourse on developing soft-skills in language learners. The development of soft skills in language learners is of current concern of many quarters. The importance of the development of soft skills in the learners, especially graduates from institutions of higher learning, has often been voiced by both the private and the public sectors including the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, institutions of higher learning. </P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The discussion will revolve around the development of soft skills, and the future challenges in the teaching and learning process. More importantly, the conference will provide a platform to address the issues in the development of soft skills. Moreover, it will provide possible avenues for collaborative work among practitioners and the industry. Conferences such as this can provide the input needed to further improve the current practice. </P>
