<P class=Default style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face=Arial><B><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt">Second Language Acquisition/Bilingual Education</SPAN></B><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt">: The Bilingual/ESL programs at the University of Colorado at Boulder focus on educational research, policy, and practice related to all cultural and linguistic groups in the U.S., with a particular emphasis on Spanish speaking populations in the southwestern U.S. Candidates for this position must have an earned doctorate in second language acquisition or bilingual education or related field, a strong background in bilingual education or second language acquisition, and experience with curriculum and teaching in elementary or secondary public schools. Candidates must have a strong research agenda in an aspect of language acquisition and its social and political contexts or in bilingual education. Teaching responsibilities include methods classes for endorsement in bilingual/ESL and initial teacher preparation classes as well as graduate courses in the Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity program area. Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in spoken and written Spanish and who have experience with culturally and linguistically diverse students. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
