With the meteoric rise of English globally, the language is studied and used by as many as 2 billion speakers, and English Studies departments now teach such varied subjects as communications, discourse and rhetoric, language, literature, and film representing English language usage and texts across the globe. The study of classical English texts might be declining, but that slack has been taken up by other areas and endeavors, creating numerous challenges and opportunities. <BR><BR>This conference at The University of Southern Denmark will explore these issues in five sessions: <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
