<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Notos - The Journal of the Second Languages and Intercultural Council (Alberta <br>Teachers' Association, Canada)<br>Call for manuscripts - Fall 2011<br><br>Notos is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to language learning and <br>teaching and intercultural competence. Its aim is to link the academy with the <br>classroom. The contents include research articles, reviews and practical <br>classroom strategies that are grounded in research.<br><br>The Journal invites manuscripts for its upcoming issue. We seek submissions <br>that:<br><br>* highlight the issues of culture and second languages in Canada (particularly <br>in Alberta)<br>* enhance the knowledge, skills and understanding of teachers in the areas of <br>second languages and culture;<br>* discuss existing practices, programs and resources;<br>* showcase research being done in Alberta on second languages, language <br>pedagogy, innovation in second languages and intercultural education; and<br>* offer advice and expertise to both in-service and pre-service language <br>teachers in the province of Alberta.<br><br>Submissions should be between 1500 and 5000 words (including a minimum of 5 <br>references).
