The tears are flowing.... even though we knew in some <br>sense that it was coming, Tere's passing is a terrible, terrible shock <br>and leaves an enormous, gaping hole in our beloved Educational <br>Linguistics program that she worked so hard to nurture and build over <br>her 40+ years here at Penn GSE. A world-class scholar and <br>internationally recognized figure in the TESOL field, Tere was devoted <br>to her students and was at her happiest when teaching and mentoring, <br>whether here at Penn or at one of her many 'stops' around the globe.<br><br>Our deep appreciation goes to all of our colleagues and friends around <br>the world who have supported Tere and shown your care for her especially <br>in these past months.
