Other suitable emphases<BR>include language revitalization; historical linguistics;<BR>anthropological linguistics; sociolinguistics; text collection and<BR>analysis; phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics.<BR>American Indian participants are especially invited and encouraged to<BR>attend.<BR><BR>For more information about the conference, and to register, visit the<BR>conference web page at <A href="http://www.cail.utah.edu/">http://www.cail.utah.edu</A> and click on the<BR>CELCNA link.<BR><BR>Abstracts are invited for 20-minute oral presentations. Presentations<BR>can be given in English or Spanish.<BR><BR>There is a $100 'Future Scholar' award for the best student abstract<BR>to be presented at the conference. Please make sure to indicate if you<BR>are student during the abstract submission process.<BR><BR>The deadline for abstracts is January 13, 2012. The Program Committee<BR>will announce results about February 3.<BR><BR>Abstract Guidelines:<BR><BR>Abstracts, no longer than one page including references, should follow<BR>best practices and where possible include the conclusions of your<BR>paper and any relevant data. Proposals for<BR>workshops or discussion sessions should specify which person or<BR>persons will lead the discussion, and what the proposed topic/question<BR>for discussion is.<BR><BR>Deadline for workshop proposals: December 16, 2011<BR><BR>Archive of Proceedings:<BR><BR>Papers delivered at the conference are eligible to be included in the<BR>proceedings of the conference, archived on the website for the Center<BR>for American Indian Languages.
