<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal>As part of the state-mandated termination of its ethnic studies program, the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Tucson</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Unified</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">School District</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> released an initial list of books to be banned from its schools today. According to district spokeperson Cara Rene, the books “will be cleared from all classrooms, boxed up and sent to the Textbook Depository for storage.”</P>
