problems and issues, and who provide evidence of the potential for outstanding

given to experienced scholars with an established research program, interests
in program development/leadership, and strong commitment to teaching courses in
educator preparation programs. We are searching, in particular, for candidates

We welcome applicants who have
strong disciplinary knowledge but can also work creatively across disciplinary boundaries.
In our newly restructured department faculty work collaboratively across program
specializations to create an intellectual community committed to rigorous
research, superior teaching, and public service. In doing so, we aim to provide
teachers, education leaders, and scholars with interdisciplinary perspectives that
equip them to address central education issues, improve educational
institutions, create and critique policy alternatives, and generate knowledge
that informs action and promotes social justice. Guided by this departmental
vision, we are looking for strong candidates who will sustain an active
research program and seek external funding, provide leadership, teach and
advise, and engage in school and community service.
