The 20th Sociolinguistics Symposium will be held on June 15-18 at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Since 1970s Sociolinguistics Symposia have brought together sociolinguists
and discourse researchers interested in investigating and theorizing issues concerning language in society. Attracting hundreds of participants and exhibitors, the Symposium is also a stimulating space for networking. We warmly welcome you to discuss fundamental
issues in sociolinguistics and discourse studies, and not only to rethink our present understanding of these disciplines but also to imagine their future frontiers.
