<p>Warmer, Warmer, Hot! Chimpanzees Can Use Gestures to Communicate Location of Food</p>

<p>Remember the game “warmer/colder,” in which one person leads another to the location of a hidden toy by telling them how “warm” they are as they get close? It turns out chimpanzees can play that game, too.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A new study shows chimpanzees are able to use hand gestures to coordinate actions to accomplish a specific goal, such as finding hidden food.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Researchers from Georgia State University, the University of Chester, and the University of Stirling examined how two chimpanzees communicated the location of hidden food to a human experimenter.</p>
