You will note the dates. In that regard I want to underline also two<br>
decades, 1970-1990 and a few years either end, as a hot-house era with<br>
thousands of hotbeds of literatures globally, on cultural awareness within<br>
contrastive language and assessment issues. Global pedagogy was at its<br>
scholarly and research pinnacle. After 1998, other things (economics)<br>
displaced research within interdisciplinary areas across 'my' field. The<br>
millenium saw further dwindling to the extent that you'd think all 'issues'<br>
are resolved - the opposite is true. So I'm so happy, it's truly good news<br>
to read your email - wonderful to witness a possible resurrection 'in the<br>
field'. Excellent, well chosen! You have made my week - because all<br>
inter-linked language-culture areas are more relevant than ever.<br>
