The courses are taught through synchronous and asynchronous lectures, seminars, and activities online. Students in the Jönköping area may participate in face-to-face sessions in conjunction with digital participation. The language of instruction is English.

This course prepares educational leaders, teachers, and researchers to address local and global challenges of equity and justice in daily professional work. How can you open dialog about controversial issues? How can you engage students, parents, policymakers,
and the public in ways that make a meaningful difference? You will learn practical techniques and conceptual principles for how your institution and you as an individual educator can have an impact on society.

-Key concepts for talking about topics like integration, racism, migration, poverty, gender, multilingualism, and ecological sustainability<br>
-Approaches to facilitating conversations about controversial social issues with diverse stakeholders, colleagues and groups at the workplace<br>
-Engaging strategically with the public using genres such as those in social media, briefs/white papers, roleplay, infographics, blogs, video, among others<br>
-Real-life visits and tests. The student engages with practices at the workplace<br>

<b>Digitalization and Implementation Processes in School I (DIP I) – 7.5 Credits</b><br>
This course prepares educational leaders, teachers, and researchers to make informed decisions and take well-balanced actions regarding the digitalization of education. Digitalization of educational settings is a burning question worldwide. Despite global divides,
schools in many countries have a relatively long history of using digital devices. The course will explore the role and functions of digital tools, and how these are implemented in every day teaching and learning. In addition to a comparison of national and
regional regulations and goals, usage of digital resources at the local level will be explored.<br>
