<p class="MsoNormal">A position for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Education is open in the Department of Teaching and Learning for the area of Language Education. This scholar will conduct research and provide instruction in the areas of (a) English learner (EL)
support in content area instruction, (b) dual language education and/or (c) parental, family, and community engagement. The candidate will be engaged in a Title III professional development grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

<p class="MsoNormal">Candidates must have a Ph.D. in TESOL, ESL education, Bilingual Education, Applied Linguistics, Educational Linguistics, or a closely related field.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Required Qualifications </b><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Three years of relevant experience with English Language Learners in K-12 settings.

<p class="MsoNormal">Relevant experience and scholarship in one or more of the three key grant areas: (a) EL support in content area instruction, (b) dual language education, and/or (c) parental, family, and community engagement.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. <o:p>
</o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Willingness to take on leadership roles. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Writing Sample required (journal publication or thesis with methods chapter/section.)

<p class="MsoNormal">Experience in facilitating professional development for teachers.
