<p class="MsoNormal">The Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Iowa invites applications for an academic-year tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor in the Multilingual Education program. The

<p class="MsoNormal">We seek individuals with evidence of significant professional promise or accomplishment in research that impacts Multilingual Education, with a focus on World/Foreign Language Education. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain
a robust program of scholarship; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the World Language Teacher Education Program and Multilingual Education graduate program; and advise MA students in Multilingual Education and PhD students in the Literacy, Culture,
and Language Program. We seek applicants who actively engage diversity, equity, inclusivity, and anti-racist education.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Responsibilities: </b>Major responsibilities include: conduct an active program of research and build a scholarly research agenda in education; design and teach undergraduate/graduate courses in teacher education in the Department of
Teaching and Learning; and advise MA, MAT, and PhD students in the World Language Education, Multilingual Education, and Literacy, Culture, and Language Education programs. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to pursue and secure external
funding; contribute to national and international scholarship; be involved with local, state, and national activities that support the practice of World/Foreign Language Education; actively engage diversity, equity, inclusivity, and anti-racist education;
and participate in service to the program, department, college, and university. Faculty are required to engage in at least 4 hours per semester of collaboration with teachers in contributing to instruction in K12 classrooms.<o:p></o:p></p>
