<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div></div><div>The UMBC doctoral program in Language, Literacy, and Culture (LLC) is accepting applications to begin in the Fall 2022 semester. The <b>application deadline is January 15th</b>.</div><div><br></div><div>LLC is an interdisciplinary and cross-departmental doctoral program in which areas of research across the humanities, social sciences, and education intersect. It emphasizes sociocultural and linguistic diversity in research, practice, and
policy, with special attention to social justice, change, equity, power,
and identity.
Faculty members of the Language and Literacy in Education Research Cluster (LERC) of the UMBC Department of Education focus on language and literacy development and practices that foster equitable
educational and social opportunities for learners of diverse
backgrounds.
