Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School of Education (SOE) invites
applications for an assistant or associate, tenured/tenure-track faculty
position in </span><b>Language, Culture, and Education </b><span>with a start date of July 1, 2025.</span><br><br></span>The
successful applicant will be a globally-oriented scholar with a strong
background in language acquisition and the learning sciences, English as
a foreign language instruction, applied linguistics, language learning
and technology/AI, education of refugee and immigrant youth, language
and education policy, intercultural communication, or a related area who
will contribute to the continued development of the Teaching English as
a Foreign Language focus area within the International Teaching and
Global Leadership Cohort (ITGL) master’s program. We seek a scholar who
conducts rigorous empirical research with the intention to influence
policy and inform language teaching and learning in diverse educational
and community contexts<span>. </span>Successful
candidates will also contribute to instructional efforts in other
School of Education programs as well as collaborative and
interdisciplinary research across the School and University.<br><br>ITGL
Cohort program prepares innovative, global education leaders to
transform schools, systems, and other fast-changing learning
environments around the world. In the full-time, 3 or 4 semester,
on-campus program, ITGL students develop the knowledge, skills,
attitudes, and applied learning experiences required to provide
innovative, future-ready education for all learners in diverse settings.
The curriculum is learner-centered, project- and team-based, supporting
the SOE's mission to generate knowledge to inform policy and practice
and educate society to address the most important challenges faced by
