Title: <b>What’s a rose? Ethnobotanical methods for identification of local plant taxa</b><br>
<br>
Speaker: Dr. Rajindra K. Puri is Senior Lecturer in Environmental
Anthropology at the University of Kent. He is an environmental
anthropologist and ethnobiologist and teaches Environmental
Anthropology, Development Anthropology, Ethnobotany and Research
Methods.<br>
<br>
This is a special ‘hands-on session’ in collaboration with the PAW (Plants, Animals, Words)
initiative. Participants will learn how they can apply ethnobotanical
methods in their fieldwork, including plant collection/voucher specimen
and some useful techniques for plant identification.<br>
<br>
Prereqisite: Participants should bring one ‘unusual’ vegetable or fruit to the session.<br><br></div>The session is free and all are welcome. <br></div><br></div>
