From Dugas_Jeanne at colstate.edu Fri Dec 1 15:16:21 2000 From: Dugas_Jeanne at colstate.edu (Jeanne) Date: Fri, 1 Dec 2000 10:16:21 -0500 Subject: Study Time Message-ID: Is it possible yet in E-Prime to measure the amount of time a subject studies a stimulus before responding to it? I am using a list object to represent an attribute that includes bmp files of paper cutting and folding problems. Then, in the trialproc, I use an image object to call up each problem and set data logging to "standard" to get response accuracy and response time. I see no place in the point & click parts of E-Prime that will tell me how long a problem was studied before an answer was chosen. Perhaps an inline set of code would do this, but I don't have a clue about how. I am intending to use this program for stimulus presentation of EEG recording. In order to do this I need to be able to trigger our amplifiers. Has anyone already solved this problem? is there some code floating around for triggering from the parallel port? If so, the RT value for the Image Display will measure how long the subject studied the display before responding. RT in E-Prime is defined as the duration from onset of the object until a response to it is made. As long as your Image Display is collecting input on the trial, its RT value will return the study time you are seeking.
