How can I insert an image on a slide with code?

Dear all,

I have a slide ("Slide1") that has an image on it called "Image1". Now I 
want to use code to specify the filename of that image according to my 
needs.

I have tried something like Slide1.Image1.filename = "picture.bmp" but that 
doesn't seem to work. It says "Image1 is not a property of the object".

Any ideas how to solve this problem?
