data collection, pressing the "windows" key (the one with the Windows logo)
can crash e-prime. I've attached a simple e-studio program that demonstrates
this, apparently, very serious bug.<BR>The program contains a single object: a
text display.<BR>Run the program as subject number 1 session 1 (though this
may not matter).<BR>When the text display appears, wait 3 minutes then press
the "windows" key.<BR>The program will crash.<BR>

shortcuts like Alt+Tab and the Windows key (which pressed by itself
brings up the Start menu) to occur. Obviously, this is going to cause
the experiment to quit. </TD></TR>

<TD width=624>Our lead developer is investigating a way to disable these
keys at run-time. However, he has stated that this may be difficult and
error prone. His recommendation in the interim is to change the input
keys so that they are not as close to the win key OR to find an older
keyboard that does not have one.</TD></TR>
