Heller. UKLEF membership is free, and there is no charge for

PATHS TO POST-NATIONALISM: A CRITICAL ETHNOGRAPHY OF LANGUAGE AND IDENTITY

What:   An email-based presentation and discussion

UKLEF is pleased to announce its second e-seminar, organized in
association with the 3 year ESRC project on Researching
multilingualism, multilingualism in research practice, funded as part
of Round 4 of the ESRC’s Researcher Development Initiative. The
project is based at the MOSAIC Centre for Research on Multilingualism,
University of Birmingham.

MONICA HELLER, Professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in
Education and Department of Anthropology, University of Toronto, and a
Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada will be presenting her latest
book, Paths to Post-Nationalism: A Critical Ethnography of Language
and Identity (Oxford University Press) on the UKLEF mailing list.

The presentation is followed by  an email-based discussion moderated
by UKLEF. The discussion will be kicked off by MELISSA MOYER,
Associate Professor at the Departamento de Filologia Anglesa i de
Germanística, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

An electronic copy of one illustrative chapter will be posted on the
UKLEF mailing list. The discussion is open to all UKLEF members. To
become a member, please visit our website, www.uklef.net. A transcript
of the discussion will be published on the website.
