WORKSHOP ON ETHNOGRAPHY OF COMMUNICATION
June 11, 2019 at the University of Helsinki


This three-hour workshop introduces the Ethnography of Communication (EOC), which is a theoretical-methodological approach to study cultural features, patterns, and forms in language and social interaction, and communication. The workshop is designed for anyone interested in general in the relationship between language, social interaction and culture. The workshop will include background/context, short example presentations of EOC work, and some hands-on/practical examples.
