<P class=MsoBodyText style="LINE-HEIGHT: 200%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT size=3>Ofayé é uma língua indígena brasileira falada por índios de mesmo nome – Ofayé -, uma autodenominação do grupo. Embora língua e povo já tenham sido considerados extintos, sua resistência contradiz tal afirmação, pois povo e língua continuam existindo. Os Ofayé estão localizados no município de Brasilândia/MS e têm a língua como um dos elementos mais evidentes de sua identidade étnica. Embora alguns estudos já tenham sido realizados (Gudschinsky:1974; Guedes:1991) pouco ainda se sabe sobre a língua Ofayé que, atualmente, é falada por 12 indivíduos. Nossa atenção neste trabalho estará voltada para questões relativas à classe de nome em Ofayé, mais especificamente, para a marcação de posse nessa língua.</FONT></P></FONT></o:p>
