<P class="MsoNormal" style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify;"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size="3">Este panel tiene como objetivo reunir lingüistas, antropólogos y etnobiólogos en torno al tema de la formación del léxico en las lenguas indígenas sudamericanas, con especial referencia al dominio etnobiológico (plantas, animales, fenómenos de la naturaleza y del medio ambiente, relaciones de parentesco, topónimos, entre otros). </FONT>
<P class="MsoNormal" style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify;"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size="3">De particular interés es el estudio de los recursos lingüísticos que intervienen en la categorizació<wbr>n del mundo natural y que permiten crear nombres a partir de formas fonológicas, gramaticales y léxicas ya existentes en la lengua, a saber: mecanismos fonológicos (uso del simbolismo sonoro y palabras eco como procesos de lexicalizació<wbr>n), recursos morfológicos (usos de sistemas de clasificación nominal, género, prefijos y sufijos, reduplicación, entre otros), mecanismos morfosintácticos (construcciones posesivas, sintagmas verbales, cláusulas relativas, entre otros) y aquellos que, por su naturaleza, se encuentran en la frontera entre morfología y sintaxis (formación de palabras compuestas). El aspecto semántico también interesa en la medida en que permite distinguir las formas monosémicas de las
polisémicas y estudiar el cambio diacrónico del significado (relación metafórica o metonímica).</FONT>
<P class="MsoNormal" style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify;"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size="3">En Argentina, dado el constante y prolongado contacto entre hablantes de diversos grupos indígenas y entre ellos y la sociedad hispanohablante, resultan también de interés los mecanismos lingüísticos utilizados para la denominación de especies introducidas por la cultura criolla, incluyendo los procesos de refonologizació<wbr>n de los préstamos, así como los calcos morfológicos y semánticos. </FONT>
<P class="MsoNormal" style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify;"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size="3">Aunque principalmente destinado al estudio de clasificación lingüística en el léxico de las lenguas indígenas, contribuciones que aborden el tema desde la perspectiva lingüística en relación con otras lenguas, serán también bienvenidas.</FONT>
<P class="MsoNormal" style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify;"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size="3">En resumen, el panel pretende impulsar los estudios lexicográficos (relacionados con la confección de diccionarios y vocabularios especializados) y lexicológicos (relacionados con la estructuració<wbr>n del léxico y los cambios semánticos) en el campo de las lenguas indígenas, brindando un espacio para el análisis y la discusión de los recursos lingüísticos<SPAN style="COLOR: red;"> </SPAN>involucrados en la construcción del léxico etnobiológico. Se espera también promover el trabajo interdisciplinario en el ámbito de la lingüística antropológica. Por último, en consonancia con la labor de documentación y preservación de lenguas indígenas, el panel intenta ser un aporte a la preservación del conocimiento que los pueblos indígenas poseen de su entorno natural.</FONT>
