<div class style="text-align: justify;">Ensino e aprendizagem de língua
portuguesa em comunidade indígena: língua primeira e segunda</div><div class style="text-align: justify;"><br class><span class></span></div>
<div class style="text-align: justify;"><span class>O português
dificilmente pode ser visto como marca de indianidade, mas muitas comunidades
indígenas deram a essa língua uma direção bastante própria, podendo considerar
determinadas variedades com modalidades de Português Índio. Nesse caso, esses
grupos indígenas demonstram ter sua marca étnica também na língua portuguesa,
levando-a a um distanciamento do português padrão, inclusive sofrendo rejeição
em virtude desse afastamento do português aceito. Essa apropriação do português
fez dele uma língua com características únicas para cada grupo, com suas
línguas ancestrais impondo formas específicas na língua europeia. Todas essas
influências exigem que o ensino de língua portuguesa nas comunidades indígenas
tenha como referência as línguas ainda faladas na comunidade ou, quando for o
caso, a língua que é assumida pelo grupo como referência identitária,
frequentemente objeto de algum processo ou esforço de revitalização. Para esse
“português étnico” não são adequadas nem eficientes as metodologias de ensino e
de pesquisa empregadas em comunidades não-indígenas falantes do português. De
outro lado, estão as comunidades falantes de uma língua ameríndia, para as
quais o português é a língua do colonizador, mas que precisam dominar para
estabelecer relações em condições menos desfavoráveis. Não se trata, nesse
caso, de ensinar português como língua estrangeira, mas também não se pode
confundir com ensino de português para estrangeiros, especialmente porque seus
objetivos não se confundem. Afinal: o que é e como ensinar português em
comunidades indígenas falantes de uma variedade dessa língua? E ensinar
português em comunidades indígenas que não o dominam? São questões que
nortearão o debate para construção de alternativas para o ensino e aprendizagem
de língua portuguesa em comunidades indígenas.</span></div>
