<p>Resumen de noticias sobre fililación lingüística de la lengua tikuna:<br>
La lengua de los Yurí se conoce principalmente por el vocabulario recogido por Martius, Spix y Wallace (1863 y 1867). La relación entre esa lengua y la actual lengua del pueblo Tikuna de las riberas amazónicas de Perú, Colombia y Brasil fue sugerida por distintos autores, pero no fue demostrada. En este momento se cuenta con varios estudios que dotan de contenido esa afirmación. La nueva familia conectaría -en el Noroeste Amazónico- el interfluvio Amazonas/Putumayo-Iça con el interfluvio Putumayo/Caquetá-Japurá. <br>
En 2009, Fernando Orphão de Carvalho plantea y prueba con datos propios la relación del yurí de Martius con el tikuna. Examina la fonología y una muestra léxica (25 términos). Con datos de tikuna actual demuestra una sugerencia relativamente reciente de Campbell.<br>
En el 2013 Goulard y Montes amplían el postulado de Orphão de Carvalho e indagan en las fuentes de la etnohistoria por los rótulos ‘Jurí/Yurí’ y ‘Tikuna’. Los datos etnográficos y el vocabulario yurí (261 palabras) de Martius se compara detalladamente con datos del tikuna actual. Se hallan parecidos notables en la morfología, en aspectos semánticos y en los rasgos que separan dialectos. Se incluye un vocabulario ‘carabayo’ compilado en 1969 por Juan de Berchmans (32 palabras, de las cuales 11 están sin traducción). Esta mirada, lingüística y etnográfica, amplifica el postulado del parentesco y confirma la proximidad lingüístico-cultural del gran conjunto Yurí-Tikuna, muy diversificado internamente. Se concluye que los Tikuna pueden considerarse como depositarios y supervivientes de un complejo sociocultural y de un continuum lingüístico que prevaleció alguna vez en la región oriental del interfluvio<br>
Amazonas-Putumayo-Caquetá. <br>
Roberto Franco (2012) traza la continuidad entre los episodios descritos por el periodista Germán Castro Caicedo en la década de los años 60 (‘Perdido en el Amazonas’) y las noticias de presencia indígena sobre el río Puré, una zona aislada de la Amazonia colombiana. En el 2014 Seifart y Echeverri se ocupan de la lengua de esa gente en posible aislamiento voluntario y retoman el breve vocabulario ‘carabayo’ de Berchmans, al que adicionan términos, para un total de 40 términos de 3 fuentes. Incluyen 6 términos cognados yurí-carabayo de un vocabulario yurí recopilado por el naturalista Natterer en 1833, texto descubierto hacia 1970 y recientemente transcrito; amplían la búsqueda de fuentes disponibles para el llamado ‘carabayo’ con documentos del siglo XX de los archivos capuchinos. Citan autores previos que habrían notado, sin mayor análisis, la cercanía entre el vocabulario ‘carabayo’ de Berchmans y los datos conocidos del<br>
yurí. A partir de una comparación con el tikuna actual proponen considerar al ‘carabayo’ (o ‘caraballo’) como un punto intermedio entre el yurí y el tikuna, pues si bien presenta coincidencias con las dos lenguas mejor conocidas o documentadas, también es cierto que no puede reducirse a ninguna de ellas.<br>
Estamos pues frente a un nuevo conjunto de hechos que obliga a reconsiderar la etnohistoria y la lingüística de una parte del Noroeste Amazónico y que rompe el aislamiento de la lengua tikuna, una lengua vital hablada hoy por una población trifronteriza, conectándola no solo con los históricos Yurí, sino además con la lengua que quizá aún hoy hablaría un reducto de indígenas aislados.<br>
