indígenas falantes de diferentes línguas da família linguística Jê,
tradicionalmente estabelecidos na Área Etnográfica Tocantins-Xingu, são talvez
os mais bem conhecidos na literatura etnográfica da etnologia ameríndia,
sobretudo, pela quantidade (e qualidade) de monografias escritas a partir da
segunda metade do século XX sobre vários dos grupos que ali vivem atualmente.
Revisando a literatura sobre estes povos percebe-se, porém, um baixo rendimento
analítico no que tange ao tratamento das diversas redes de relações
estabelecidas entre os grupos indígenas da região. O objetivo desse Simpósio é,
justamente, agregar pesquisas recentes que reflitam sobre essas redes de
relações, contribuindo para o preenchimento dessa lacuna na etnologia dos povos
Jê e visando uma re-inserção comparativa desses povos no cenário da etnologia
das terras baixas sul-americanas. Estão no escopo temático desse simpósio
pesquisas que enfoquem:<o></o></span></div>
<div class style="text-align:justify;"><b class><span style="color:#00000A;" class>1) </span></b><span style="color:#00000A;" class>As variadas formas de circulação/apropriação de pessoas, bens
(tangíveis e intangíveis), imagens, conhecimentos (tradicionais ou modernos),
práticas e técnicas rituais, xamânicas, corporais e políticas, entre diferentes
povos indígenas situados na área etnográfica Tocantins-Xingu;<o></o></span></div>
<div class style="text-align:justify;" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1426853268684_5184"><b class><span style="color:#00000A;" class>2) </span></b><span style="color:#00000A;" class id="yui_3_16_0_1_1426853268684_5183">As relações de alteridade estabelecidas tanto entre os
diferentes povos Jê entre si e seus subgrupos específicos, quanto entre esses e
outros grupos indígenas que habitam a região, destacando as interações e
intercâmbios nas imagens do “ser índio” que circulam entre estes povos em
diferentes contextos interétnicos;<o></o></span></div>

e as diversas agências estatais e os não menos diversos setores da dinâmica

região, sobretudo no que concerne as diferentes redes de relações
necessariamente constituídas e mobilizadas para a produção de festivais de
nominação, ritos de iniciação, eventos esportivos, feiras de sementes,
encontros interétnicos, culturais e políticos.<o></o></span></div>
