Organized by the Department of Language Sciences and Communication of the
Université du Bénin, Lomé

General themes: African languages for culture, peace, and socio-economic
development in Africa in the third  millennium

Venue : Campus of the Université du Bénin, Lomé

Date : August 21  – 26,  2000

Subjects :  All aspects of the analysis of African languages: phonetics &
phonology, tonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and lexicography,
pragmatics, sociolinguistics,  historical and comparative linguistics,
typology, etc.

Registration fees : 40 000 F CFA (80 $ US)
These fees cover organization and conference costs including coffee-breaks,
etc., with the exception of accommodation, restauration and excursions.
