Interesting. I'm not quite sure what to make of the articles. Bashing
Gould now that he is dead is all very easy, but I'm not sure how
sharing Wilson's theoretical leanings (which I do, inasmuch as I
understand them) necessarily leads one to linguistic innatism after the
manner of the East Coasters. Given the principle of charity, does
someone with more access to formalist thought have any insights on this?
