Crisis in linguistics

 True, but mathematicians have no Nobel Prize. So, they set up their own Prize. In linguistics the researcher follow the fashion, but not the important direction which may lead to some non-trivial results. The selection of articles in "Language" or "Word" is quite arbitrary and by chance. The last but not least. There is a crisis in linguistics, though linguists do not care to notice it.
